What to expect from a treatment session
Before Treatment
Prior to the treatment I will complete a short consultation with you to ensure there are no reasons why the treatment shouldn’t take place. This will be done over the phone normally a week prior to your appointment and will take about 15 minutes. If you wish to consult a medical practitioner, please let me know at this time so that your appointment can be re-arranged for a later date. All outstanding payments should be made before this consultation takes place.
During Treatment
I will always travel to you. I will need a small space approximately 2m x 2m so as to fit a chair similar to a garden recliner and a stool. Lounges, kitchens, dining rooms and bedrooms are normally fine. Please ensure the room is warm, free of obstacles and distractions and do not bring mobile phones into the treatment area.
After a lifestyle chat, I will ask you to sign a disclaimer. Treatment cannot take place until this has been done.
Before the treatment I always examine your feet looking for signs of any imbalances, and all my findings will be recorded. I will begin the treatment with a relaxing foot massage, followed by a complete reflexology program covering all zones and reflexes of the body. I will re-visit any areas that need further attention or as requested by the client. The session will close with more relaxation, deep breathing and optional moisturising.
After Treatment
A general treatment will last 1 hour. (Please allow a total of 1.5 hours to include set up, pack up and discussion of findings and aftercare advice. For other treatments please add the additional time.)You will be advised to have a glass of water and to rest and I will share any findings with you. It is common for you to potentially experience side effects after treatment, (which I will explain to you) and these can last up to 48 hours. Side effects are considered a necessary and positive sign that the body has reacted well to the treatment.
